What independent testing reveals
Plugged In Golf’s Matt Saternus found SkyTrak+ enjoyable and straightforward once set up, with intuitive practice software and encouraging indoor agreement with GCQuad. Its strength is a useful home-practice routine without marked clubs or balls. Allow time for initial setup and expect a short pause before the shot appears.

Read the detailed findings and test limitations
The reviewer needed support during setup and experienced occasional wireless dropouts. Raw measurements agreed closely in his indoor test while calculated distances could differ. Check current memberships and third-party eligibility rather than relying on the review’s older software packages.
The report describes the model and software available during its original test. Check the version, current software access and supplied equipment before buying; historical prices are not current purchase terms.
The 30-second verdict
Replaced by the SkyTrak ST MAX. The ST MAX keeps the same radar-and-camera approach. A SkyTrak+ only makes sense at a big discount, and remember the membership cost.

Why it stands out
SkyTrak+ added radar to SkyTrak’s camera, which improved club data and short-game reading. It has been followed by the ST MAX, which adds speed training and faster processing.
Most simulator features depend on a SkyTrak membership, so include that yearly cost when you compare prices.

Owning it: warranty, returns and rules
| Manufacturer warranty | SkyTrak gives a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a warranty of 6 months or 25,000 shots, whichever comes first. Warranty terms ↗ |
|---|---|
| Left- and right-handed golfers | It sits beside the ball, so it has to be moved to the other side when a left-hander takes over. Rooms shared by both need extra width. |
| Balls and stickers | Normal golf balls. |
| Budget beyond the box | For indoor use, budget for a hitting mat and a net or impact screen, and for any simulator software you want. See complete setup costs. |
Warranty and returns terms checked 5 October 2026. Retailers and manufacturers can change them, so check before you buy.
