Trackman iO: plan a premium US golf studio

Why it belongs on the shortlist

Trackman describes iO as purpose-built for indoor golf, combining radar, infrared and high-speed imaging. Its overhead position keeps the floor clear. It is a dedicated indoor route; Trackman 4 addresses a different need when portability and outdoor use matter.

Choose the room package

SIG10: the smaller studio configuration. SIG12: a wider screen and enclosure for a larger room. Garage: investigate the supplier’s retractable-screen route when the space must return to everyday use.

Home and Complete are different decisions

The supplier distinguishes Home and Complete editions. Home focuses on ball data and a limited course/game selection; Complete adds a wider library and selected club analysis. Obtain the exact current feature schedule and renewal terms with your quote. A premium package does not automatically include every Trackman feature.

Build the full ownership budget

Include a suitable Windows gaming PC, display resolution, projector and mount, selected hitting surface, electrical work, installation and software renewals. Confirm which items are included, optional or excluded. Keep first-year and later-year costs separate.

Room fit is more than enclosure fit

Match the correct iO mounting option to your finished ceiling. Check the swing of your tallest golfer with the longest club, both handednesses where relevant, screen stand-off and the hitting position. Enclosure dimensions alone are not a safe-room specification.

Compare before committing

Consider ProTee VX or Uneekor for alternative overhead routes, and Garmin R50 for a portable unit with its own display. Trackman’s premium positioning does not establish that it is the best value for every golfer.
