What independent testing reveals
Golf Monthly found the Phantom 3 Slope easy to consult, with a responsive touchscreen, clearer numbers and a strong magnet for cart use. It works well for golfers who mainly want quick green and hazard yardages. It does not provide the full hole mapping of larger handhelds, so decide how much strategic detail you need.

Why it stands out
The Phantom 3 is built for golfers who want distances and nothing else. The magnet holds it on a trolley or cart, so the numbers are always in view, and it recognises the course automatically when you arrive.
The small screen shows front, middle and back distances and a few hazards clearly, but it is not a map. If you want to see the shape of each hole, a bigger handheld such as the Shot Scope H50 is worth the extra. Bushnell also sells a Slope version; check which one a listing is for.
